Design Brief

Having undertaken some reflection, I’ve started to consider high level requirements which might form the basis of a Game Design Brief.

I’ve selected the following features to fit into my game:

  • May be played by two or more players.
  • Offer a variety of thematic deck archetypes from which players may choose to play with.
  • Provide a consistent theme throughout the game, mechanically, aesthetically and dynamically, adhering where possible to unified principles of design.
  • Include scope for further iteration and development of deck archetypes, which will;
    • Enable production of new card sets
    • Leave open the possibility of further narrative design
  • Gameplay will include two distinct gameplay areas, which players must successfully manage and dominate simultaneously in order to survive and win.
